I think a lot about “what ifs” and the multiverse and different versions of lives that could have been lived if different decisions had been made. I have the book Maybe in Another Life to thank for that. If you have spent any time in a five mile radius of me for the last two years, I’ve likely talked your ear off about it, extolling the virtues, making sure you are very clear that you must read it. An important plot point takes place here, at Urban Light, and I’d never noticed the symbolism between that scene and this place until this trip. Maybe it’s because I’ve never seen it or maybe it’s because I just read Dark Matter and it further fucked my shit up about quantum mechanics or maybe it’s just the State of my life now, but anyway, here we are. I’m thinking about all the ways my life could be different and all the other versions of me that are living different, probably worse lives, and I’m just having a lot of feelings, okay.

“Life is long and full of an infinite number of decisions. I have to think that the small ones don’t matter, that I’ll end up where I need to end up no matter what I do.”
